In Albuquerque, New Mexico at the Isleta Casino and Resort, lightning did strike again as Holly Holm (26-1-3, 7 KOs) defeated Chevelle Hallback (27-6-2, 11 KOs) in a ten-round unanimous decision.
This was the second time the two had faced each other, the first time being back on May 23rd, 2007 at the Tingley Coliseum (also in Albuquerque, Holm's hometown) when Holm defeated her in another ten-round unanimous decision.
But the Holm - Hallback match wasn't the only female boxing bout on the card.
In the co-main event, female boxer Victoria Cisneros (4-8-2) got a majority decision victory over Terri Blair (11-15-3, 6 KOs).
Interestingly, Holly has victories over both Victoria and Terri.
She defeated Victoria on December 4th, 2009 at the Isleta Casino & Resort, and she defeated Terri on August 28th 2009 at the New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas.
This is Holly's fifth win in a row since her draw with Mary Jo Sanders (25-1-1) at The Palace in Auburn Hills, Michigan back on October 17th, 2008.
